Our Trip to Utah

We had the funnest week ever! I will give you the highlights.

• Monday - Helper Pool
• Highlights – Skyler and Shaylin finally got brave enough to jump off the diving board. Then they wouldn't stop jumping. Sawyer and Macey liked the kiddy area.

• Tuesday - Boon Docks
• Highlights – All the little cousins played laser tag and miniature golf together. (I’ve never seen so much cheating in my life.) Kenya finally talked Skyler into doing the Dance Jam video game with her, and he fell off the dance stage while he was dancing. It was so funny. Shaylin drove her go-cart around the track so slowly that everyone passed her like 12 times.

• Wednesday – Thaksgiving Point
• Highlights – Macey stuck her finger in a baby goat’s mouth and he sucked it so hard that she couldn’t get it out. She screamed until I pulled it out. Then she stuck it back in again. The kids splashed and played in the Noah’s Ark fountain for hours. We only lost my nephew, Miles, four times. We had a fun Heiner Family Reunion that night.

• Thursday – Seven Peaks
• Highlights – All the kids played throw-Grandpa-off-the-tube while they went around the Lazy River 72 times. Kenya took Grandpa on that huge half pike ride. She said the whole time he kept saying, “Oh jeez! Oh jeez! Oh jeez!” The younger cousins had their own little “Seven Peaks” at Danielle’s. They played in her kiddy pool and sprinkler and on her slip-and-slide. They loved it!

• Friday – Children’s Museum
• Highlights – So many cute memories: Reagan and Lucas eating a pretend lunch together, Shaylin delivering play mail to everyone, Alanna flying a helicopter, Grandpa and Sawyer playing with water toys, Macey and Noelle taking it all in, Isaac giving a weather report on TV and Skyler pushing little kids out of the way so he could play with the ball tunnels. We had a fun picnic at the park, and Sawyer lost his second pair of shoes this trip.

• Saturday – Lagoon
• Highlights – Sawyer and Lucas were so proud to fly their own helicopters and drive their own cars. Isaac talked Shaylin into going on the Colossus. She loved it. Kenny talked Jason into going on the Catapult. He loved it. Sawyer insisted on going on the Terror Ride. He hated it. Lucas’s bumper car got stuck going backwards in a circle the whole ride. He loved it.

This was the greatest week! We could not have had more fun. The real highlight was just being with our family and friends. There is something so magical about being all together. I love it.
