New Preschooler

Sawyer started preschool this week! He has been extremely excited. He was so thrilled to finally be able to wear his new running shoes and his Spongebob backpack. But nothing compared to his excitement over his new Cars lunchbox. He has been carrying that around for two weeks.

When we took Sawyer to school on his first day, the kids and I came in to make sure that he was OK. He did not like that. He kept telling us, “This is MY school. You can’t stay here. You can come get me later, but you have to go now.” When we finally convinced him that we were only coming in to say good-bye, he hugged us all and then ran off to play. Then Skyler, Shaylin and I left slowly, wiping our eyes.
