Birthday Girl

Shaylin has had an eventful few weeks. She turned eight, and we celebrated her birthday at Lake Powell or as she calls it “the greatest place on earth”. She wanted an ipod until right before her birthday when she changed her mind and asked for a Pokemon DS game (she looooves Pokemon). We were happy about that, as it saved us about $100. Happy birthday to me.



After Lake Powell, Shaylin had a friend party. It was a very easy, laid back, water party out in the yard. We just set up the kiddie pool, the sprinkler and the slip and slide. Then we gave all the kids sponges and squirt guns and let them go nuts. They had a blast. It was especially fun because Shay’s friend Scottlynn was visiting from Utah and her cousin, Peyton was visiting from New Mexico. So having those two here, plus 10 of her favorite hometown friends, made Shaylin’s day.
